First ever Global Citizen Festival will be held in India on November 19 which happens to be World Toilet Day. Many Indian and international headliners including the band Coldplay will be taking part in this Noble initiative. The unique part is that the entry to this festival (including Coldplay concert) will be free. Fans will earn the tickets through their actions in support of education, equality and sanitation campaigns.
On Monday September 12, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis along with Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Farhan Akhtar and A R Rahman will launch the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai at a press conference. From the same day, tickets can be earned by signing up to become a Global Citizen and completing the festival’s action campaigns at GlobalCitizen.IN.
