While she made a blockbuster entry in the film industry with Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, one of the most record breaking debuts, Ameesha Patel has also had her share of downfalls. The actress, who decided to branch out as a producer along with acting, has been away from the silverscreen considering that her films have been delayed due to several reasons.
The Gadar couple, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are now coming together for a comedy titled Bhaiyyaji Superhit which has been in the backburner for a while. The film is back on track and during a media meet at the on location of the film, Ameesha was spotted giving a press conference. However, the actress’ mood seemed a tad bit off after the press hounded her with questions about her three year hiatus, the current status of her long awaited debut production Desi Magic and so on. While Ameesha was already miffed with the amount of noise around her owing to the media meet and reacted saying ‘Guys please…’ yet another moment that left the actress miffed was when someone questioned her about why she has stayed away from limelight for the past three years. She responded to the same, saying, “Agar aap akalmand hote toh khud hi samaj jaate ki ek toh production house khola toh usmein time gaya, do filmon ki shooting (If you were intelligent you would have realized that it takes time when you have to open a production house and add to that the shooting of two films namely Desi Magic and Bhaiyyaji Superhit).” Ameesha continued to talk about the hassles she faced as she continued to switch roles as an actress and a producer for her production Desi Magic in which she plays a double role. She said, “If an actor has to become a producer, then one has to take time out from their films and concentrate on the production house and that definitely takes time.”
However, Ameesha also assured that now that both films are back on track, Bhaiyyaji Superhit and her film Desi Magic are most likely to release at close intervals.
