Anil Kapoor turns 59: B-Town wishes the 'jhakaas' actor on Twitter

Anil Kapoor looks nothing like he has hit his late 50s. The 24 actor, who has kept the Bollywood fans entertained for almost three decades, is still referred to as the ‘youngest veteran’ by his B-Town friends. As the ‘Jhakaas’ actor turned 59, many of his close buddies and co-actors took to Twitter to pour wishes.

From Shah Rukh Khan to Priyanka Chopra, many wished the Dil Dhadakne Do actor on the micro-blogging site. SRK revealed that Anil was his first friend in Mumbai, while Karan Johar called Anil, “the youngest veteran” and a “thorough gentleman.”

Anil made his debut with the film Umesh Mehra’s 1979 ‘Hamare Tumhare’ in a small role. But the actor gained recognition with 1983 film ‘Woh Saat Din’. After that there was no stopping for this versatile actor. From ‘Tezaab’ to ‘Beta’ to ‘Mr India’, the actor went onto give innumerable hits in his career.

He later made his international debut in Danny Boyle’s Academy Award-winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and was also a part of Hollywood actor Tom Cruise-starrer ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’.
