Bejoy Nambiar, who had directed Amitabh Bachchan – Farhan Akhtar starrer Wazir, was gearing up for his next project with Dhanush and Harshavardhan Rane as the leads. The film, which was supposed to go on floors this August, has been put on hold.
The untitled project is a remake of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil action drama, Agni Natchathiram, which presents a story of two stepbrothers at loggerheads over who’s the rightful heir to their father. A source associated with the project informed that the look they had planned for Dhanush didn’t work out as planned and his dates were clashing with previous commitments down South. The film has been put on the hold until the issues are resolved.
As per the work is concerned, Bejoy Nambiar has now moved on from this project and will be concentrating on his Malayalam-Tamil bilingual. He is busy signing the cast and the film is scheduled to go on floors in October this year.
