Emraan Hashmi: Ajay Devgn doesn't carry his stardom around

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, who has done sole as well as multi-starrer movies & seen success in both, at an interview said that he does get slightly insecure with the situation in multi-starrers.

When asked Emraan what is his approach when he does a multi-starrer film with big stars, he said, “I think for every actor, even for me, it comes with its baggage. Someone who is senior to you, who has been around for longer and who has seen probably more successful films, you do get slightly insecure with the situation. But that doesn’t deter you from not doing the film. What I realized about Ajay (Devgn) is that he doesn’t really carry his stardom around like this, that was a very heartening thing for me because sometimes he feels the scene is yours, he will give the scene off to you. So I never had a perception in that scene, I knew Ajay is that kind of a person that’s why I did ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI and I also had a lot of faith in Milan (Luthria).

“I had just seen a solo hit of mine, JANNAT and Milan had offered me ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI right after JANNAT so I was skeptical because of that. I said that I am pulling off this solo film and then now I am working with Ajay, so I hope somewhere I get weighted to the way that I want to in this film and it shouldn’t kind of diminish things for me. But then eventually I did it and it worked out for everyone,” he added.

Emraan’s last film MR X also starred Amyra Dastur, Nora Fatehi & others. Directed by Vikram Bhatt, produced by Mahesh Bhatt & Mukesh Bhatt, MR X released on 17th April 2015.
