Happy Birthday Shahid Kapoor: His top 7 makeovers

He might not be the king of Bollywood as yet, but he’s definitely the Rs 100 cr (R…)Rajkumar he had always aspired to become.

As Shahid Kapoor turns 35, the actor could not have hoped for a better year with him getting married to the lovely Mira Rajput in 2015.

Here’s looking at his top five makeovers.

Shahid sports a moustache and is seen in a soldier’s uniform for the upcoming movie that also stars Kangana Ranaut.

Shahid and Kareena Kapoor will share a film after ages with Udta Punjab. The actor will be seen sporting some really long locks in this film about the drug addiction situation in Punjab.

A day before going bald for the film, the actor had shared with Hindustan Times: “I’m very nervous. It was a tough decision for me.”

The makeover definitely worked for him, as he got his first 100 crore film.

Shahid got into Chulbul Pandey mould for this one, but couldn’t fit. He tried every antic of a hero (dialogue-baazi, crazy dance, and a lot of masala mannerisms), but ended up looking like a zero. Even his chemistry with Ileana D’Cruz didn’t do much for him.

Sadly, this was a makeover that earned him no brownie points.

His army man look with a moustache created a lot of buzz around the film. Exuding the old-world charm, Shahid’s avatar even garnered him good reviews. But a film also needs to be a crowd-puller on its own, which Mausam was not.

He worked on his physique, pulled off stunts, looked rugged, appeared in a double role, and dhen ten nan, a brand new Shahid was born. His performance was rated as “his best-ever till date”, in his first-ever action role in this Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial venture.

Kaminey in every sense changed the ball game for Shahid.
