'Hate Story 3' is setting box office on fire!

Release This Week: ‘Hate Story 3’

Sharman Joshi, Zareen Khan, Karan Singh Grover and Daisy Shah have every reason to be on cloud nine. Their latest box office outing ‘Hate Story 3’ has set the cash registers on fire, in addition to the screens. The Vishal Pandya-directed film has been able to rake in Rs 9.72 crore on its first day, an achievement that is nothing short of phenomenal.

‘Hate Story 3’ is the third installment in the franchise, and in spite of no hype and big stars, the film has earned a whopping amount of money. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted to share the figures:

#HateStory3 has cost ₹ 6.5 cr make. Plus, ₹ 6.7 cr for print + advertising. Total cost: ₹ 13.2 cr… SUPER HIT in terms of economics.

Despite an ordinary star cast, #HateStory3 takes a FANTASTIC start. Fri ₹ 9.72 cr. Should recover costs in opening weekend itself!

Right from the time the film was announced, a section of the audience was pretty excited about ‘Hate Story 3’. The first trailer of the film too raised curiosity levels in some cinegoers and a few more eyebrows. The trailer, packed with steamy scenes and a generous helping of the F-word, did make many wonder how much of it would be passed by the Censor Board. However, given the fact that the filmmakers applied for an ‘A’ certificate to begin with, the censors cleared the film with a few changes.

‘Hate Story 3’ opened to largely mixed to negative reviews from critics, but that was no dampener for it at the ticket windows. In the first three days itself, the earnings of the film are expected to cross the amount that had gone into its production.
