Now who will break a coconut on Subhash Ghai’s head? I guess he will have to do a ‘selfie coconut break’ looking in the mirror.
Another interesting aspect is that both the original films were created 32 years before its attempt to duplicate. SHOLAY in1975 and RGV KI AAG in 2007, while HERO with Jackie Shroff in 1983 and now, in 2015.
What message this gives out to the people of the industry is not to attempt’re-creation’ of an original 32 years from its release.
This film is just an extended promo for two star kids of the industry who have got the backing from Salman Khan, Subhash Ghai and Eros International; not necessarily in that order.
Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty are the beneficiaries here, children of Aditya and Zarina Pancholi and Suniel and Mana Shetty respectively.
Sooraj is required to show off his muscles. He does that with ‘close camera’ highlighting his physique. It’s a pity though that the boy who played the villain is not given that much of ‘muscle showing time’ on screen. His physique is much leaner and meaner and he is faster than a cat on a hot tin roof. A dynamic talent; I’m speaking about Vivan Bhathena. He overshadows everyone with his tough-guy cameo.
