Earlier we had reported that Mani Ratnam, who has given films like Bombay, Saathiya, Yuva and the recent Ok Kanmani, had signed Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari for his next Tamil film titled Kuruthi Pookkal. Now we hear that the director is all set to start work on his next film.
In fact Ratnam is looking to commence work on the project from July 8, with the first schedule taking off in Chennai. Following this, the crew will then move to Kashmir.
As for the film itself, Kuruthi Pookkal that is produced under Mani’s home banner Madras Talkies features Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari, with Karthi playing a pilot who falls in love with a girl on his trip to India. While Ravi Varman has been roped in to crank the camera, the film will have music by A.R Rahman.
