Nikhil Advani, whose last venture Airlift which he coproduced, did very well at the box office. Now we hear that Advani will be launching his assistants with their own directorial ventures. Confirming the same Nikhil says, “Yes we have three films in the pipeline namely Jackfruit which will be directed by Nikhil Gonsalves, Lucknow Central directed by Ranjit Tiwari and Mohabbat Zindabad that will be directed by Gaurav Sharma.”
Though reluctant to reveal much about the three projects Nikhil Advani adds, “Currently we have locked scripts for all three and will be commencing the casting for the projects.” When further prodded about him producing the three ventures, Nikhil says, “As for now I won’t say that I am producing them, because everything is so dependent on several factors so I do not want to say that I am producing any film till the time it comes for release. Instead I will say that I am developing all three films.”
Further talking about his own directorial venture Bazaar, Nikhil adds, “Yes Bazaar is also in process. I have finished scripting it and will start casting by the end of next week. As for this film it is a joint production between Emmay Entertainment and Balaji”.
Interestingly, apart from these projects, we also hear that Nikhil will be adapting the Hollywood TV series Homeland for Indian television and is currently working on the script for the same.
