Colors may be the parent channel for Bigg Boss. But Salman Khan has once again proved he is the biggest boss of them all. Defying his home-channel Color’s rule that clearly forbids their artistes from associating with the breakaway rebel-star Kapil Sharma, Salman decided to be on Kapil’s show on the rival channel Sony Entertainment.
Salman recorded his episode with Kapil Sharma on Sunday evening.
This audacious move brings to an end prolonged speculation on whether Salman Khan will take the plunge into the other camp for the sake of his new release Sultan.
Says a source very close to the development, “No one tells Salman what to do. Even Colors knows this. And no one actually told Salman that he can’t go on Kapil Sharma’s show. However, being associated with Colors from its inception and having hosted their flagship show Bigg Boss for 8 years, it was presumed that Salman would know the unwritten rule at Colors. No artiste from the channel is allowed on Kapil’s show.”
A few days back when Salman recorded an episode of Comedy Night Live on Colors with Bharti Singh and Abhishek Krushna news reports quoted “confirmed sources” as saying Salman was staying away from Kapil Sharma’s show.
However, a source from Kapil’s show confirms otherwise. “Salman recorded with us on Sunday. We even did a spoof on KBC as part of the performance. As far the so-called diktat against appearing on Kapil’s show goes, Bhai makes his own rules.”
It remains to be seen what action Colors takes against Salman for crossing into forbidden territory. Just a few weeks ago there was a hue and cry when singer Mika who sits on the judge’s seat in Comedy Night Live agreed to be a guest on his “friend” Kapil Sharma’s show.
