Salman Khan to promote Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and work for slum dwellers

While the fans of Salman Khan are eagerly waiting for the superstar’s birthday, the actor has not only decided to celebrate it in a simple way but has also decided to dedicate it for the benefit of others. Though Salman has already kick started the celebrations with a small family dinner that he had this weekend, the actor will also be seen campaigning once again for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The cleanliness drive started by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, gained a lot of momentum with many Bollywood celebrities coming in support of it and Salman Khan was one of the first who had started off the drive by cleaning the surroundings of Karjat in Mumbai whilst he was shooting for a film. The actor will now start campaigning for the cleanliness drive on social media where he will be nominating over 500 volunteers who can join him in support of the same.

On the other hand, yet another social issue that Salman Khan wants to take up is that of the development of slum dwellers. The superstar already does a lot of work with the help of charity foundation, Being Human and now, he will also be donating a sum of Rs. 1 crore for the well-being of slum dwellers, which includes their education and healthcare.
