A couple of days back, controversial film critic Kamaal R Khan had taken to Twitter to allege that Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap had threatened him and warned him against giving a bad review of their upcoming film Bombay Velvet and when asked about this, Anurag had a different story to tell.
While at the launch of the second trailer of the film, when Anurag was asked to comment on KRK’s nasty tweets about their film, Kashyap said, “The latest update on this issue is that KRK has promised to chop off his ‘weapon’ if Bombay Velvet becomes a hit. As a result, we have decided to send him an ice-box so that he can preserve his ‘weapon’ and send it to us, which we can then display at a museum for a fee.”
On his part, when a media-person asked Johar to comment on the allegations regarding the threatening SMS, Johar candidly asked, “Do you think I could have sent the text message?” and when the reporter replied in the negative, Johar said, “I rest my case!”
Directed by Kashyap, Bombay Velvet, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar, Kay Kay Menon and others, is slated to release on May 15.
