Sonam Kapoor is in no hurry to cash in on her Neerja triumph. It comes as a surprise to know that she has said no to all post – Neerja offers, except one.
And the only project that Sonam has agreed to do is for her sister Rhea, to be directed by Shashank Ghosh who directed Khoobsurat for leading lady Sonam and her producer-sister Rhea. While Khoobsurat revolved around Sonam’s character this time Sonam will be part of an ensemble cast.
Confirming this Sonam Kapoor says, “I am doing my sister Rhea’s production. But I am not playing the central character. It’s an ensemble cast. It will be directed by my Khoobsurat director Shashank Ghosh. That’s the only film I am doing right now.”
Interestingly Sonam specifies that the project she is doing next is neither a screen adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s novel The Battle Of Bittora nor is it a project titled Saat Hindustani which Rhea is keen to produce.
All Sonam will specify at this juncture is that she doesn’t play the central character in her sister’s next production.
Reasons Sonam, “I don’t look at it that way. For me, the interest level in a character is not dictated by the number of scenes in which I am visible. I had a 25-minute role in Delhi 6. Boman Irani said something really great when he came to visit the set of Neerja. He said there are no big or small roles. Only big or small actors.”
