When it comes to speaking his mind, Shah Rukh Khan is not one to shy away from the mic. The actor has always been known to be straight about his thoughts, adding a dash of wit to most of his answers and so on. While speaking about his upcoming films, Maneesh Sharma’s Fan and Rahul Dholakia’s Raees, too, the actor was at his outspoken best, mincing words be damned.
A daily quoted the actor as saying, “I would not say that Raees and Fan are diametrically opposite to what I stand for. To me, these are films that I want to work in, but I just got the time only now.”
The superstar went on to talk about his role in Raees, that of a Gujarati don, “…an earthy role, something that I have missed doing for so many years. Today, I have reached a stage in life where I would want to go in the morning on the sets and feel I have put my best foot forward. I was like this in the first seven-eight years of my career.”
And that’s not all. The Happy New Year star also said – and admitted, at the risk of sounding ‘pompous and arrogant’ that no one can do his role in Raess better than him.
“I have not even done a rehearsal for the film, but I can assure you that no one can do the film like me. It sounds extremely pompous and arrogant, but I am being humble at the same time,” added Khan.
Raees is being directed by Rahul Dholakia, who has to his name a National Award, which he’d won for the film Parzania.
