Yesteryear actress Sadhna passed away today (December 25) in Mumbai after a brief illness. The exact nature of her illness is yet to be ascertained. The veteran actress was 74 when she breathed her last at a Mumbai hospital
The yesteryear beauty, who enthralled masses with her graceful performances in Hindi films in the 60s and 70s had retired from public life long back. The actress only kept in touch with her old pals like Asha Parekh, Helen and Waheeda Rahman.
Sadhna was known for films like Love in Simla, Parakh, Hum Dono, Waqt, Woh Kaun Thi. She was married to Love in Simla director Ramkrishna Nayyar who passed away in 1995. Sadhna didn’t have any children.
The actress who famously introduced the fringe hairstyle also known as Sadhna cut in Indian cinema was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by IIFA in 2002.
