The gorgeous Vidya Balan, who has been making news for her tryst with many offbeat cum challenging roles of late, is now all set to be a keynote speaker at the ‘Luxury League’ as part of PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ campaign. Majorly seen in a saree clad attire, she has often been regarded as someone who put Indian textiles back on the map and brought traditional Indian clothing back in vogue.
The said event will be hosted by the renowned fashion designer Ritu Beri. Vidya Balan will be speaking on ‘Analysing The Tree Of Luxury Brands In India’, which would include the detailing of fashion brands and their exciting journey in the country and what it takes to brand a style icon and also how the luxury industry can promote India’s traditional handicraft industry and also discuss the possibility of India’s traditional industries becoming global luxury brands.
Speaking about the same, Vidya Balan said “Thanks to social media and today’s growing economies, the world only seems to be getting smaller. This is a great time to develop the synergy between huge luxury brands and Indian textiles. I look forward to talking at the Luxury League and to associate with PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ campaign. It is a huge honour”.
Vidya Balan will be joined on stage by Antigone Schilling, a French fashion journalist, Chantal Thomass, an iconic French designer and India’s very own fashion designer Manish Arora.
