Anees Bazmee’s comic caper Welcome Back that was initially expected to release with Aamir Khan’s PK seems to be delayed again. In fact the film’s release date was pushed from December 19, 2014 to January 2015 and later to May 2015, since the shoot of the film had been delayed.
Now we hear that the film which was expected to hit screens on May 29 has again been differed. While earlier it was being said that the shoot of Welcome Back had not yet been completed, this time around, we hear that the makers are yet to sign on a worldwide distribution partner for the film.
Commenting on the same, a source states, “The makers of the film are finding it difficult to get a worldwide distribution partner since there is a mismatch in price on what producer Feroz Nadiadwala is seeking and what they are getting.” Further elaborating on the same the source adds, “Apparently, Feroz is seeking a sum of Rs. 70 cr, however no one is willing to offer the same.”
Though Feroz Nadiadwala was unavailable for comments, we hear that a new date for the release of Welcome Back will be announced shortly.
