This year marks the 17th edition of the most spectacular celebration of Indian Cinema worldwide. Present at the Weekend celebrations will be the biggest personalities in Bollywood – Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Boman Irani, Kabir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Bipasha Basu, Huma Qureshi, Vivek Oberoi, Dia Mirza, Riteish Deshmukh, Neha Dhupia, Aftab Shivdasani, Sohail Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, Shriya Saran, Sonu Sood, Jackie Shroff, Richa Chaddha, Frieda Pinto, Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi amongst others.

13 remarkable performers at IIFA Rocks

This year the IIFA Rocks stage will feature spell-binding performances by musical megastars Pritam, Kanika Kapoor, Meet Brothers, Benny Dayal, Neeti Mohan, Monali Thakur, Papon along with Shilpa Shetty, Ameesha Patel, Mouni Roy, Sooraj Pancholi, Eli Avram and Daisy Shah who will be performing as well.

10 spectacular sub-events

Over four days, IIFA will see a host of incredible sub-events including the Global Business Forum that will address several important issues including urgent environmental issues that affect the global population. Bringing together the best of Spanish and Indian culture is the IIFA Stomp in collaboration with MULAFEST Urban Trends Festival, with four incredible musical chapters to unfold over the weekend. The third day of the IIFA Weekend will also see a special Yoga Masterclass by superstar Shilpa Shetty who returns to IIFA after 7 years and the celebrations will culminate with the IIFA Stomp and Rang Jam Party with a theme based of one of India’s most colourful festivals Holi! The party will feature amazing bollywood remixes, great visuals, henna artistes, bollywood dancers on stage, indian street food and performances by 3 of the most well-known DJ’s of India – DJ Amann, DJ Clement, SJ Sumit Sethi.

6 outstanding acts at the IIFA Awards

© IIFA The highlight of the Weekend, the glittering IIFA Awards ceremony will see 6 outstanding acts by the biggest stars in Bollywood including Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, Sonakshi Sinha and Tiger Shroff.

5 musical mega-artists at IIFA STOMP

IIFA Stomp in collaboration with MULAFEST Urban Trends Festival organized by the MULA community and supported by IFEMA features a line-up that underlines its electronic heart, with pioneering artists from the international scene – electronic artists and musicians like Raghu Dixit Project, B.R.E.E.D, Midival Punditz featuring Karsh Kale and friends, and Nucleya at MULAFEST.

4-day Gala Festival

The International Indian Film Academy has visited London, Yorkshire and Amsterdam previously and will make its forth foray into Europe this year – the capital of Spain – Madrid! IIFA is all geared up to unfold and present a breathtaking amalgamation of two richly diverse countries and cultures.

2 pairs of the coolest host duos

This year’s celebrations will also witness superstars Fawad Khan and Karan Johar hosting the IIFA Rocks gala and Farhan Akhtar & Shahid Kapoor all geared up to host the Nexa IIFA Awards.

With the perfect destination to host the gala celebrations, the International Indian Film Academy is all geared up to unfold and present a breathtaking amalgamation of two richly diverse countries and cultures. IIFA 2016 aims at bringing the magic of Indian Cinema to Spain and opening doors for Indian cinema across Europe and Latin America.
